Don't even bother. It's flat!
Here's a little taste of the early season from Uncharted Productions, starring Engstrom, Darren Muschett and their cohorts.
GUN
Plain and simple, this board is for serious surf. From 7’2” and above, the gun has a fuller rail for easier paddling and a positive feeling in larger waves.
FUNSHAPE
The most versatile of Dan's boards, the Fun Shape can be easily enjoyed by all. From the beginner to the advanced in any condition, this board will provide fun for everyone. The Fun Board is offered from a 6'8" to 8'0" with either a rounded pin, swallow or squash tail. It provides stability for the beginner, yet is perfect for the long boarder looking for a quicker and more maneuverable ride. Many short boarders find the Fun Shape perfect for summer days.
BS FISH
This model was designed with small wave surfing in mind. What many refer to as a fish, this board blazes through flat sections, yet will destroy the top of a wave without a problem. With similar contour to the DMT, the BS holds much flatter rocker from nose to tail. The BS is offered with a swallow tail. We suggest 2" shorter and a ½" to ¾" wider than a normal short board.
QUAD
This board has a similar rocker to the Lil' Joey, but the difference is the fourth fin. It should be ridden three to four inches smaller than your typical short board. This model works great in small slop to head high waves. The quad is built for a quick response with the feel of a short board.

SHORTBOARD - HAMMER
DIMS: 6'1" x 18 1/2" x 2 1/4"
This short board is great for any surfing condition that it may encounter. This board is found in all of our riders' quivers. The bottom contour runs from a single to a double concave, thus allowing for an ultra-responsive fast ride. Tail shapes can be anything the rider prefers.
Dan Taylor Surfboards FIRE & ICE PART 1: SAM HAMMER'S ICELANDIC ADVENTURE
In a study of the hot and the cold sides of surfing, in recent months Sam Hammer's been kind enough to voyage to the ends of the earth to explore the trials and tribulations of both warmer-water and cold-water surfing. We would have been fine with it if he'd just gone from Jersey to Florida, but he opted to take a more thorough approach. In this photographic installment he flew north to Iceland...and yes, that is snow on the ground.

ROACH
The Roach is basically a cross between our BS model and the Crutch. Its' nose is pulled in more than the Crutch, but is wider than the BS. It has similar rocker to the Crutch, and can easily be ridden like a modern short board. The most common tail design is a single bump swallow. A normal thruster fin setup is used and is usually 2" to 3" shorter than your short board.
TWINNIE
A twinnie, nobody rides a twinie anymore!" Alex Rodgers could not have been anymore incorrect. The twin fin is one of many retro boards making a comeback and we are doing our part to help the cause. With a flat rocker and a Vee bottom, these boards are fast. The harder rails hold a constant edge easing these boards through any section. The Twinie is offered with FCS and Future fin systems, but we recommend the traditional hand-made glass-on fins.
